That came out awesome! I would love to do that on mine and put the head unit where the ash tray is.. I don't know if I'd have the patience.. Good work.

Nice, I'm in the planning stages for my GTP and I have a few questions...

Where did you place the PC? I was thinking inside the armrest but might end up just throwing it in the trunk.

Do you have a stereo HU running anywhere? Still trying to figure out where I want to place mine.

Were you able to preserve the steering wheel controls at all?

Great job though, very clean.

The PC is in the trunk. This summer we're going to do up the truck with a fiberglassed box in the floor so for now the PC is just sitting back there in an Antec Minuet 2 case.

Armrest would work if your mobo was small enough. We used a MicroATX board which wouldn't have fit.

We don't have a head unit anywhere. The PC connects straight to the amps. We retained the steering wheel controls using an SWI-X which was already in the car from the previous stereo. It converts the button presses to IR. There are threads on the board about hooking the wheel controls to a computer through com ports, fyi.

How do you like the view?

I've stopped using mine because it was so hard to read with any kind of sunlight. You are at your extreme extents on the viewable side of the screen.

I want to mount mine higher and relocate AC vents

The view is ok but if I had to do it over I'd tilt it back a bit. Being so low and so vertical can make it hard to see from higher angles.

Hmm I might try and mess around with angles sinec I have the dash off before I put it back on. That would be a lot easier than completely redoing the whole dash. Insetting it might have better results then I have on mine. Hmmm

Now I just need time!

Otherwise, looks great!

BTW Where do you live?
