How did you manage to get the OBC in the top there?

It was simple... the front OBC size is just almost the same of the radio trim. Just a bit of sanding to cut off the harness brackets... and a bit of sanding on the radio trim too...

Hmm, I wasn't too keen on damaging the OBC.

here is a photoshopped pic of how the USB front panel would look like...
I designed it by myself and ordered at Schaeffer AG... I can't wait for it...
Also photoshopped the volume knob... i am making it using a Pepsi bottle cap and i will put it where the cigar lighter should be...

Really u don't need... u can also make holes in the radio trim (so they are hidden) in front of the harness brakets... but my OBC is the "7 button one"... the only informations it give are time, data and external temp... i sanded it without any problem

Glad to see another E36 install. I'm purchasing my parts as we speak and should have a thread up with my install within a month. I've got some interesting ideas for the bezel (I want to put it in the top location) and also for some other unique things I want to try.
I'll be sure to have a post up as soon as I get started. In the meantime I'm going to re-design my sub enclosure in my trunk. My current 2-12" box is too big for my liking.

Since I never posted a pic of mine...
Obviously not running Centrafuse anymore, but it still looks pretty much the same...

Oh I did...didn't even notice that until after the pic. Just had to jiggle them a bit. I'm sure you all know how they are...

Sometimes I consider moving the screen up top as it would be easier to access, but I think the glare would be a lot worse. I'll probably end up keeping it down there for now, but I'd be interested to see pics of anyone who's put it up top...
