so yeah, i lied about not doing work... ive done alot
i have to post pictures and will do that soon, but on friday i measured the speaker wires and cut enough of them so they reach from the center console back through the center console and under the mats to under the back seat, the slack sits there and the rest go up being the backseat (but behind the carpeting in the trunk) and come through a small hole next to the amp where it will be wired in (im waiting for my damn wiring harness for the speakers to be connected and my new speakers [mounted in the rear deck])
then i mounted the amp in the back wall in the trunk, it goes accross the center (tilted down slightly) and connected to the two metal square rods that run down behind the backseat.
i finished wiring the rca cables through the center console, got my carpc running for the first time (almost perfectly.. but two problems... ill talk about those at the end of my post) all the wires now have been run and set in place, i need a new maxi fuse, but until the the one i have it should be ok (its 5 ampre more than i would like, but ill survive)
what else... nothing i guess... ok now for the problems
2 of em, kinda really big ones though
1) my opus 150W PS will NOT turn on my carpc, i have been using a screwdriver, (or one time... my finger) to short the pins to turn it on.... im thinking if the shutdown controller is shot, ill just use a switch i got at walmart for 99 cents (which is very nice and oem looking, so i dont mind)
ok... now the very big and horrible problem...
i think my lilliput is broken, i dont know how... but it is
look closely, the screen is missing pixels in the middle
and if you try to touch it..
about 1/8th of an inch of the screen on the right side is black, and the farest right vertical strip of pixels is very staticy (white pixels flash) also, in the middle of the screen, about 1/8th of an inch is missing, but instead of being black, the right side covers it (i think that the processing for those lines screwed up, causing them not to be rendered... then the other lines take its place, causing the 1/8 of an inch to be blank on the far right... this IS a serious problem, since MY SCREEN ISNT WORKING, but the touchscreen still works like it should (even though there is part of the screen missing, when you touch, it goes to where you click...)
for example about the clicking....
say the screen was working, if you clicked the start menu, it senses it at the start menu...
now for my screen which is broken... although the screen is shifted, the touchscreen seems to be as well... meaning it still goes to the right spot according to the screen, but not where it should IF it worked correcly...
basically everyone on the right of the screen has shifted down to the left.. causing a blank screen on the right....
i dont know if it can be fixed, or how it happend... but i hope mp3car's store will give me a refund or replacement, because this is unacceptable.
edit: fixed a typo

alright picture time... no pictures of the lilli, its not hooked up.. but ill get that soon enough... keep in mind it has not been droped dented or anything of any kind, it has not been manhandled and this error is completely out of the blue... there is no physical damage (besides a broken plastic film which was broken when i got it.
i had to make 2 posts, since they only allow 15 pictures per post (guess that shows how many i have).
now to waste bandwidth.....
first off, i never showed what i did with my passenger seat... so, heh here it is...
when i first put the case in w/ everything theres this little tab which jetted out infront of the case
heres the piece that stuck out, it was motor bracket (which i removed because i dont have any motors in my seat)
heres the bracket...
heres the new bottom of the seat
Second, i never showed you the crap i took out of my car so... here
Next, the speaker wires...
i spent about an hour doing this so they are perfect, (and they are) i took 4 seperate cables (2 sheilded wires in each) and wrapped htem to amke 1 cable with 8 shielded wires which i then shielded again w/ electrical (and apperently powersheilding... but i doubt that) tape. i did this ebcause the wire goes perpendicular to a 12 age power wire... so just incase... :P i want my car to be perfect.. so here is the wire...
to set it up, i wired 1 cable to where i wanted the big wire to go... so after i wired it up, i cut it where it needed to be then layed it flat on the garage floor and used more ducktape in 3 hours than in my entire life ^^
heres how it looks when i cut the rest of the wires to the right size...
wait... heh funny story here... i forgot to upload that picture to my computer, i'll put it in later..
here is the completed wire uncovered
a better look...
the biggest pain in the *** was keeping them all straight (thats right, they dont twist.. they are all straight and perfect ^^)
next... when wiring it.... this picture is kinda wrong though... i rewired it under that strut bar thing... so yeah, ill take a new picture of that
this how its going to be wired... kind of, they arent going through the speaker holes (speakers are), but if you look inside the trunk, there is a little opening between the carpeting on the backwall and the two metal bars i was talking about which i can sneak the wires in... ill get a picture of that tomorrow... so heres that.. keep in mind this is pre-amp placement (which i did.. two days ago, no pictures on that..... ill show you tomorrow so a couple wires were switched around and such but nothing major
now for wiring it, i wired it thought the center console, you can actually see the power wire in this picture (its red.. obviously), and where it crosses the speaker wire, (its the shiny black one under the carpet..)
the carpet jetting out a little is normal in case you are thinking i screwed up, once the center console is back in... it will tighten the carpet and look nice(r) than it does now
and for where the wires come finish...
right after this picture, i found out my screen was damaged (or whatever happend) i still need to talk to mp3car about this, which i will do once my car is finished if i cant get it working again... i hooked up the screen to see how it would work in direct sunlight... never got around to testing that though... pos...

now for wiring the RCA cables, i dont have as many pictures, but i do have a few... i wanted to make sure they wouldnt get cut or anything so... i used alot of ducktape (its even ducktaped to the metal under the carpeting..
its not sheilded very well, because it doesnt cross any powerwires at all, but since its not sheilded it can be cut easily... so just incase, i made sure it couldnt move, then i got my sister out there to pull on the cables ad see if she could get them off (she couldnt)
but i wont post those pictures.... i get enough cat calls around here from my friends, i dont need them on the internet too
anyway, the RCA cables...
lastly, i had prom saturday night (i was almost late to the before party because i was too busy working on my car... yeah, its like another woman ^^
i wont tell you how it panned out, incase somoene from my school is reading this that i dont want to read this *COUGH*DAWSON*COUGH* (just kidding... )
and heres my dog on friday when i was working... this is what he does everyday whenever hes not running laps around the house...
and yeah... theres my massive picture update, eat your heart out, i know you like it (and on saturday i found out just how good that line is...)
and now... im out, later ^^
