Nice Frodo skin.......
I really like it
Do have a question, though. My DW G35 screen housing was aluminum; how'd you get a black one? Did you request it from DW like that, or did you paint it yourself?
Thanks
Dave

I painted it. I have the titanium colored consel and I wanted some contrast. So I used a flat black metal spray paint and then covered the black with some poly so it would not scratch. Of course, I took the screen out before painted it.

Cool. I might do that with mine. Or, when mp3car comes out with the new transflective screen in a G35 mount, I might get that, and paint that one.

Dave
I have herd of the transflective and OrganicLED screens but I thought they were years off from being mainstream. Get me a 7in for under $500 and Im in. I love my Xenarc, but in bright sunlight it does get washed out quite abit.

Well, they are available now, sort of. Read this thread
The gist of it is that they do have a new transflective monitor, much brighter in sunlight than the others. However, it is based on the Lilliput, rather than the Xenarc. However, again, mp3car.com plans on making other versions, to include a G35 version.
Of course, it means buying a whole new monitor, for a pretty high price. I will probably end up doing it, though, and seeing what I can get for my old monitor, since I really hate the sunlight washed out look of the current monitor.

Well Krap. Just when I think Im done with hardware, I find another must have item. The trasflective screen will be my next purchase. I hope xenarc puts one out soon. I would hate to giveup all the xenarc feature I have grown to love. I guess a $650 price point is not too bad, but $500 would be alot easier to get by my wife

Right you are. If I actually finished I would probably just tear it apart and rebuild it differently. Im pretty good a breaking things to, Which neccesitated carputer ver 3.0 to 4.0. You know what they say. " if your not breaking anything, your not having any fun) Buy the way, thanks for the skin Caelric. I think you are the one who sent it to me.

Ayup, it was me. Just took someone elses skins (RexBruMet, I think), and put the Infiniti logo in the right places, and added the Infiniti G35 across the top.

Hey.... I was just checking out your install and I was wondering how you have the sound from the PC set up....
I was thinking you might have the AAI-NIS2 hooked up from the PC to the head unit?
Interested because I would like to keep at least some functionality (for friends who bring CD's in the car & for the radio) from the stock HU so its not just like sitting there in my car dead or whatever..... That would be cool if you could set it up with an aftermarket amp & just have the PC's audio output as one of the extra inputs on the HU.

Yes, I did use the AAI-NIS (ver1 not 2) for my setup. Very easy install, but you lose your factory sat tuner. I dont have sat so it was not such a big deal. Before I found the AAI-NIS I used a tape adapter which worked pretty good but the AAI-NIS is much cleaner.

Still use the Blose. Not the best system I ever had, but not as bad as some peaple say. Hopefully in the new G35 Infiniti will put a better system in.
