Well, I have been playing with the carputer for the last 3 years and now Im on configuration V4.0 .

what kind of back up camera is that ?

not sure, found it on ebay for $100. its wide angle and I was able to hook it up to the xenarc so when I put teh car in reverse it automatically switches to input 2 when I come out of reverse it goes backto PC input.

Can you please take a pic of the back up camera at night, wonder how good is the night vision.

The first 2 pixs are about 1/2 hour after dusk the last pic is when it was complete dark out side. we have no street lights in my subdivision, just lamppost in the yards.
Hope this gives you a good idea of the quality. The pic quality seems to get a bit grainy after dark but is still very bright.

I think I'm ordering one too. Seems like a very good compromise. I have little experience with these super-small sensor cams but I wouldn't have expected that type of night visability with one of the bulky IR equiped backup cams. That amount of noise [grain] is very acceptable (to me - at that price) and expected at that level of photo-sensitivity. Seems better than cutting a big ol' hole in my bumper. I wonder how it will hold up in bad weather? Snow, ice? Can you give us some details on the durability chriowolf?
