Talking '99 Eclipse, in dash install, lots of pics, Clean...

For a nub that is...
This is the first install that I have ever done...
I just was always intrested in putting wierd things in wierd places...and plus...im a computer geek....
or so as everybody says...
im the only person that i know, personally that has ever done such a thing.
These pics were all taken yesterday from 4:00pm to 7:30pm...meaning, i did everything in under 4 hours...including driving, running back and forth...and idling...which im good at.

just so you know...i kinda wanted to make a newbie guide for my friends if they ever dare venture into the unknown like i have...

The Package for the lilliput 7' monitor came in at close to 4...and when it came....i was shaking with excitement

ohh...what a beaut... I already like how it looks....

See how it will fit into my dash console area

just got it...but i cant help it...i must take it apart....

first i took off the bottom bar part.... and the buttons.

frame check...IT FITS!!!

take this beaut. logo off...

umm...this is what i want to do...cut that off... but thats not gonna work...

thanks dad for letting me loan your tools without your permission!!!

bwhahahaha the cutting begins....

its seperated!!!

do you by any chance have an amp for the speakers yet? because if you do i would highly recommend complete deletion of the radio all together. Otherwise, not too bad for a 1st time install. Any more pics of the PC case?

does that plastic putty give you enough support for pushing with your finger? you may want to use some epoxy to just add more strength to that... or go with the ABS Sludge...

Im still working on the pc case because i dont have a motherboard yet.
Just a question....ya i have an amp for the speakers, why should i get rid of it?

The plastic putty stuff gives plenty of support for the pushing of my finger, that stuff hardens like crazy and stays that way.

First off, please, please, please, get rid of that Doreamon steering wheel cover.

Azn: You need to find somewhere for your deck and for your lillput buttons. If you're not using your deck that much, why not put it in the glove box.

if you don't use radio, then just get rid of it, best off in the end

Nope, i actually had none of these pre-install's
all done by myself...unless if your talking about the subs...i installed those a long time ago...
and ya...i was on redbull actually...
I actually use it alot...all of my friends and i are really into all kinds of music...
each one have about 40-50 gb's of music on our 80 gb ipods>_<
im not sure i want to put the deck into the glove box, cuz i store alot of important papers and small car tools in there...
i might just relocate it under the seat
