Well i don't have a good update, but I figured that i didn't want to leave everyone hanging. I'm about to start collage (1st year) and moneys a little tight so I'm not going to be working on the car for awhile. I'm going to try to save for my rims over the next few months so i can get them for spring. And i also have a few other things i want to do that include, headers, new exhaust, upper strut bar, and yellow top (big 3 at the same time)
I still have a few carputer things i want to do:
GPS receiver
IG 4
Fusion Brain
and i'm still debating on the second computer for controlling (might just use this one). if i do i'll need another m2 or m1 and i have my second monitor still.

Coll Age, huh? I dun all the book lernin ima gonna do.
Man, I still haven't put that cable together for you yet. My car got flooded last Thu. (not interior, just water in engine) and I found out the engine needs to be rebuilt and I have to go through Insurance so I've been all distracted lately. I've got all the parts laid out though. Should be fairly easy.

Thanks Jason, seem like your always the one to catch my mess ups lol.
I've been talking with Dennis5587 in his worklog and he has been giving me some pointers with different VFD's. I think i've decided on a display that i want for my rear view mirror.
Here is the product photo
Taken apart
Here is the size that it'll be when in the mirror.
I think it'll make a nice fit. Dennis5587 thinks it's a little big so i need some more feedback because i don't want to kill my stock look now lol

I wouldn't put it in the middle... I was picturing putting it more to like the bottom right, much like the stock ones

stock ones? I don't think i can move it too far right without changing the shape of the mirror. You don't think having it symmetrical would be better?

Not stock like this, Stock like the character vfd's some cars have in the lower right corner of the mirror that say what direction you are heading in, and what temperature it is outside... that kind of stock

well i've been playing around with the LcdStudio software and it seems fairly easy to use. I was able to make up a screen to display my winamp functions along with system info. you can use it for itunes, wmp, msn, and many many other things. should be a very nice program to use.

I've become very attached to my neighbors ramps

The only tricky part is getting a jack or lift arms under it to lift it up. I sometimes had to use wooden blocks to drive onto just to get a jack under it. I carry 4 blocks with me all the time. My ground clearance is 4", BTW.
It can be a pain sometimes, but it's important to have just the right stance.
