I just received my Lilliput 619, I'll get pictures of it in the bezel when i get it in. luckily the Lilliput fit in where i had my lcd with only mild filing to the opening
It didn't come with the bezel for the front or the rca input cable(I'll be ordering the cable this week)

Monitor in Bezel

Well i ordered my M2-ATX today and it should be here on Wednesday
I'm thinking i'm going to be changing up my motherboard choice yet again and am going to be using a 2.4 ghz celeron with 512 ram and 96mb onboard video. It takes about the same amount of power as my 1.8 ghz P4 if not a bit less. I will be ordering a second m2 or m1 for the usb devices, hard drive, dvd burner, and monitor as i add them to the carputer. for now the m2 will power the motherboard and hard drive. Well onto the pictures of my monitor in the bezel before final primer and then paint, i will hopefully be getting around to this tomorrow but i might work on the skin a bit more. (sorry for the bad pics)

I just painted the monitor I'm not sure if i like the grey it came out to be. It's plastic textured paint but it has a little shimmer (looks like a lot in the pictures) I'm going to have to wait for it to dry so i can take it out and put it in the camaro and see what it looks like. anyways here are the pictures of it just after paint

I hope someone is actually looking (enjoying ? ) the pictures of progress...

Bezel with monitor/ bezel in car

I put my monitor in there for a test fit when i got out of school and everything looks good.

I also put the bezel in the car to see how it matched up and surprisingly it is very close, remember it isn't matching the light gray behind it but the gray around the inside of the gauges and around the shifter where the cigarette lighter is, but not around the cup holder to the right of the cigarette lighter.

That was my best picture due to the glare and they never look the same color as in person, but I'll get more of it when the monitor is in. I also plan on repainting the other pieces that it is suppose to be matching because i like the little "shimmer".

Sorry 56k...

Here are pictures of the computer running in the car.

I'm not going to post pictures of the motherboard, m2, or hard drive until i have them mounted where i want them (will hopefully be happening tomorrow or so)

I've ordered my ai-net adapter for my alpine head unit and it'll be here Friday so i can get rid of the god awful fm modulator..

When i was installing the computer i found that my ps2 mouse would bring the computer out of standby whether i had it set to or not I fixed that by unplugging it after the install. I have the M2-atx set for 5 seconds to standby and then never for hard off, is this what everyone normally uses? I'm wondering how long it takes to drain the battery in S3..

looks good but ummmmmmmm I'm not sure how good of an idea it is to have a completely unsheilded computer sitting right next to that hug magnit (sub)... that may give you problesm in the future

I'm thinking about changing around the set up in the hatch but i can't decide what to do, I'm also thinking about running a completely separate computer for control over lights and other little things. This way i could choose to only turn that one on at night. If i did that one would want to move the amp and put it there so it's symmetrical.

Hey, this is the first I'm seeing of your setup. It looks pretty cool, but I might cover part of the PC. Maybe make a Lexan box with the ugly parts painted and the rest left clear. Plus you could control the cooling over the whole PC as well.
What do you have in the far rear? Can you use any space in there or is it all used up?

I was using S3 for a quite a while, but the constant draining and recharging on the battery will cause it to go bad over about 6 months. I was using an Optima red top. Now if you have a yellow top you would be OK. I would try and use Hibernate with the hard off option to keep your battery in good shape.

Check out this thread:
http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/gene...s-methods.html

I need to put your car and one other car into the big F-body thread. Is that OK with you?

Too late! Check post #20.

thanks for adding mine Jasonww I'm trying to fine something else to do with the way it looks. The rest of the space is reserved for the t-tops lol. I really like my stand by so i guess I'll invest in a yellow top.

Thanks RedGTiVR6

Also the wire looming has been removed, but like a said above I'm trying to decided that i want to do while finishing my skin.

Well today it hit 92* and the computer shut off and when it rebooted it said a thermal error had occurred, i guess I'll be completely redoing the rear so that the computers can both have there own enclosures that are well ventilated and monitored. I'll sketch up whats in my head tomorrow and post some pictures and see what you guys think.

some updates

Well I move the computer to the rear "cubby" hole

I plan to do something like this to cover it up and seal it to try to help with the temp. I don't think it'll be plexi tho as that would look out of place. It's also going to have the cutouts for my backplate most likely.

I also rigged up the power button to my rear hatch release button since i don't always want the pc coming on and like the control of turning it on and off when i need to.

I want to make a beauty panel for the sub box it'll go up to the little curve in the side panels and then across the front of the box, i tried to roughly outline it in red. what to you guys think? I'd make it out of fiberglass but i would end up carpeting it and it'd look the same then.

In the next week i plan to repaint my bezel, the piece around my gauges, vent holders, and try to mold the ac controls in the center console and paint the upper part of it. I'm going to make that beauty panel and cover in the next few days most likely.

In my opinion, if you carpeted it, it would probably look about the same so I wouldn't waste my time unless I was going to make something that would definetely improve the looks. I don't want to sound harsh, but it's your car so you can tell us to flip off and do whatever you want to.

You mentioned fiberglass. Was that because you wanted to paint it, cover it in vinyl or because of the weight?

It's kind of hard to make something asymetrical look good. Is there any other place you can mount your amp or are you going to get another matching amp?

Here's something that comes to my mind. Take everything off the box then roundover the edges with about a 1/2 round over bit in a router. Then take the box and coat the outside with fiberglass. Sand it all down and then paint it.

Or something easier, just replace the carpet with sheetmetal or even aluminum sheet. The box looks like all the sides are flat. You could take one sheet and cut the corners then fold them down. Sheetmatel can be painted or even chromed. Stainless can be polished to look like chrome. Even aluminum can be polished if you want. That would give it a big bling factor when you pop the hatch plus a second amp on the box would be easy to add.
