try going into your xp setup using the disk and then go into the repair console by pressing r i believe... then choose which operating system you would like to modify or repair.... type in fixboot
then press enter... that should fix it
type exit... press enter
then reset

It's not letting him boot from the CD. He needs to go into the mobo BIOS and set the boot order so he can boot from the CD drive.
Sporty, it my also be that the mobo won't boot from a USB drive or the USB portion is not active until the OS loads. Try a IDE CDROM to boot into XP.

Can you get into the BIOS?
Thanks, i love it up there, and i haven't seen it done yet
I can't get into the BIOS at all, If it's any consolation it is a via Mll12000. from the searching I've done I've found that there is part of an OS on the drive and that is why I'm getting that error, but I've formated about 3 times now and have not had any success, I know it's the drive because I've hooked up others and they work fine. I'm also using an IDE cd drive (tho i know the ide to usb cd drive setup will work because i used it to put xp on my 2nd Dell gx150 i got).

That's a common mobo, it shouldn't be that hard to find info or a user manual online to find out how to get into the BIOS.
As far as the ide to usb cd drive setup, it's mobo dependant. It worked on the Dell, but might not work here. I still think it's the boot order in the BIOS you need to look at first.

Well a few things have happened the past few weeks. i've been working alot on alex's carputer and have been running into alot of problems lol. I've decided that i'm going back to the stock paint colors i just can't put wild accents in my camaro (i want it to look stock). I've made up my skin for Fusion Brain (which i'll be ordering as soon as i find a monitor for my electronics computer. heres a screen shot of the initial layout. the spacing still need tweeking as soon as i can figure out how to get rid of the title (menu?) bar on the top.

Heres what i would like it to look like in the end

My car is black as well and I'm going to have to mod the radio trim to fit the 2 din unit. I was thinking of sanding it smooth and painting it gloss black. Maybe even have a paint shop use the real good paints and clear it to make sure it lasts. Have you considered that? It would match the exterior and should still blend in well with the gray.

Man, that is one slick setup youve got there. The slot load is the ****!! Im now kinda jealous of the camaro setup because of the ease to work with the bezel compared to the firebird/trans am's. My project got put on hold earlier this year when I broke my touch screen. Im just about to get back on it though by ordering a lilliput at the end of next week.

I've really been thinking about black, but i have ALOT of grey and i'm not sure if it'll look right being black, I'm going to use bedliner to get the texture that i want and then i'll put it in and see how i like the "black" from that to see how it works. If i don't like it ill paint it the stock color again. I've also decided that i like the factory textured look over the smooth look.

Thanks i love the ease and slickness of it being up there. I would love to have your dash and i've actually looked into getting a firebird dash numerous times, i just can't afford the shipping. I really want to get one so i can have a 10" screen

I've had trouble finding a screen in that size with good viewing angles. It may exist, but I don't know which one it is.

Oh well, i don't see that dash coming my way anytime soon lol.
I've just landed my hands on another Lilliput 619 for my center console under the armrest. It'll be for my "controlling" pc. now i need to find another m2-atx or i might get just a m1-atx and the Fusion Brain.
tomorrow i'm going to be getting some paint mixed up to match my factory colors (should be free )
What do you guys think of the skin for the Fusion Brain? I think it should match my roadrunner skin pretty well.

i'm still looking for a m1 or m2. but my screen is on its way
Today i found a laptop that i'm going to buy so it's easier for me to transfer stuff from my house to alexs (and work on it at both places) since i'm starting his skin

Well i'm still waiting on my monitor, but i decided to take the one in the dash and make the bezel for it in the center console. I've decided to make it the way i did so it can be removable to access the back and i recessed it so that when i rest my arm on the armrest i don't turn my strobes on or open my hatch Anyways here is what it looks like so far.
right now as i write this i am taking this time without a monitor for my dash to redo the bezel again, I'm using the spray on bedliner and i really like it. you can control how much texture you get by how far you hold it away so it should be pretty easy to get a factory texture back.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day and bring my monitor along with my new laptop i ordered

Bedliner FTMFW
Well i got the bezel all bedlined and i really like the texture and color. I was going to post these pictures up to see what you guys thought i should do, but as soon as i put it in the dash i knew i wanted to leave it just like this
(i don't have the trim ring installed around the processor)
Now i'm going to have to bedline the other vent bezels and the fuse box cover. I'm looking for some plastic filler so that i can shave my window switches and put a tweeter in each side and bedline those also. The Drivers window switch will be going in the cup holder since i can't use it without dragging my arm over it while shifting.
