No, if the package says shielded, then it is (it says shielded). It just doesn't look pretty like the orange Hooker Audio cables. I went for a drive, and I believe I have finally gotten rid of my alternator whine, by replacing the cables with Shielded cables!

So it turns out that I can only run 4.1 sound right now, due to the fact that it doesn't make sense to power my stock sub with my AMP (as it would be too much). I will have to wait till I get a decent SUB to do that. So I went and got another RCA cable, and I will be setting it up shortly. Below is how I will have to do it:

maniaxzero is on a distinguished road
Are you still having audio problems with the static and noise from computer actions? I've had the same problem. I tired everything....changing grounds....plugging in two Ground loops isolators at a time....nothing worked. Finally I figured out, it was the motherboard. I swaped out the DFI board for a intel d201gly2 little valley board and it's been perfect. No noise or static, just crystal clear sound. Hope that helps

Interesting. I did a work-around by using digital SPDIF-IN for my Sirius audio.

I cleaned up some of the wiring this weekend, re-did some grounds, and re-routed what I could.

This will be my next purchase for my car computer system:

It is the Phoenix SOHO PCI Conference Card. The only problem is that I have one PCI slot, and it is being used, but there is a solution! There is a thread where forum member Salmizar figured out how to power the PCI card externally, and was able to achieve awesome echo-canceling results for car phone conferencing. Just needs 5V that you can get from the 5V rail on your power supply, or you can hack up a USB cable to get the power instead. They even tell how to make an external enclosure for it!! It is basically used as a pass-through for sound, so that the card can execute hardware echo cancellation.

You can find the info here: http://forums.fluxmedia.net/general-...enix-soho.html
