Resizing bug fixed... or beign fixed

I wanna do some research about macro commands. I'm thinking of just dropping in a component that handles them. Less work for me + more accuracy for the users. I'm thinking of implementing AutoIt.

If you want your skin to be included as default, then send me the PSD files to 95lexus@gmail.com. Also would be helpful if you tested them yourself with the fuschia background. Thats the background that iGSkinner removes to make transparency.

/me winks at Oleel

I haven't used iGSkinner because it does more than I care for, so I wrote a small app just to get rid of the nag removal and for the embedding. I haven't bothered with making the buttons bigger. IMO, a 7" screen is small enough as it is to give up real estate to bigger icons. As you can see, I've made the volume and menu button disappear, but they are still useable.

The delay timings are for debug purposes only. I don't have a working machine that is as slow as an EPIA. 100 timings for both should work for all computers now

And yeh, now I only have one timer. It checks for if iG is running, and if its not then it will terminate iGSkinner.

I think the buttons are too small on my 21" CRT Sony

Very good for a small app. Since RR can provide the iG commands I don't need a lot more. Gets rid of nag screen quickly, but still leaves status bar on bottom and a thin grey border on right side of screen. Any updates? (sorry for the minor thread hijack, David )

Well, you must not have looked at the INI file. You can disable all buttons there:
[SETTINGS]
SHOW_BUTTONS=TRUE
change it to
SHOW_BUTTONS=FALSE

Stupid windows won't let me resize the stupid iG window Good thing that I came upon a workaround when developing NaviVoice. The code to remove the window's titlebars also moves it nicely

And, doesn't iGSkinner get rid of the Nag screen quickly?

-The menu isn't in the middle of the page
-"How To" updated

Just installed 3.5, and I get a weird problem. It is snapping the map window in the bottom right 2/3 of the screen. Am I doing something wrong?

ol33l - Just FYI iGSkinner doesn't OK the nag window if Getright (a download manager) is running. Not a problem in the car, since I'm not doing any mass downloading, but just wanted to make you aware of it.

Actually...no. Routis is iGuidance 1.1... they dropped the name routis and switched to iGuidance with version 2...

i just downloaded igskinner 3.5 but i cannot figure out how to get it to work. i have a standard install of iguidance running on my laptop with windows xp. when i try to run igskinner it only opens up iguidance maximized like always. it doesn't click the nag window and it doesn't show any of the skinned buttons. when i close iguidance, the igskinner process is still running and it takes 99% of my processor time. if i run igskinner again, same thing happens and there are then 2 processes by the name of igskinner each taking up half of my cpu time. can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong?

make sure you don't have any download managers running... someone mentioned that gozilla? or something causes this to happen...? I dunno, mine works great now with 3.5

Alright, try this one. Fresh install of iGuidance 2.1, IGSkinner 3.5, and Centrafuse. The only thing I did in iGSkinner was turn the GPS setting to FALSE because it kept locking up the port. Now, when running Centrafuse, I have it loading iGSkinner (which loads iGuidance), and it loads fine, but..if I try to use 'The Menu', it opens it BEHIND Centrafuse, and locks up iGSkinner. If I exit Centrafuse, I can see the menu open on the desktop, which then closes as iGuidance closes. Did I miss a setting?

Running at 800x600.

I know from my experience, specifically Getright causes problems. He is probably best off closing exiting as many apps as possible, including those running in the Systray, and they trying iGSkinner again.
