Using XMD Direct on a PC

I have an XM Direct unit from my car (2003 M3 that got totaled). While I look for another car I am trying to get the XM Direct working with my PC.

I have researched this and found many older references to XM XCR, XtreMePCR etc. and I made a serial cable.

Can anyone advise on the best SW to run an XM Direct from a PC and where to find it.

Cheers

Riderunner and Centrafuse both support the XMDirect box. I have one and use both. Look in the software section under frontends to find links to downloads.

Has anyone converted the XM VB6 code, (say from Roadrunner) to VB.net? I would like to convert my own frontend which was in Delphi to VB.net and this is proving to be a long tideous job. Biggest hassle is the serial port stuff. VB6 used mscomm, vb.net needs a lot of help from what I can tell.

Thanks, Walt
