I get the problem with no properties too, and also a problem that if I try to use the auto seek/scan buttons it scans through, and freezes and never returns to the standard function. I found I had to manually tune presets for the stations I wanted. that worked fine. Much better function that previously with the Haupaugge drivers.

OK. I think I might have figured this out for everyone. I had a problem with mine but I had it working once so I knew I could do it again. It took me all day to get it to work again. Heres what I did. When your installing the btwincap drivers, select "tuner can tune fm radio." Then in the tv tuner box (not sure if this matters but it's what I did) select the philips "ntsc_m" Then import your text file. That made the difference for me.The reason I was only getting static is because that tuner wasnt working. It was stuck on whatever station I had previously tuned to with the original drivers and software. Now I can tune but I cant scan for stations. But frodo doesnt do that anyway. So I'll live with it.

Oh yes, radio tuning, and quality is reasonable.

Might be worth noting, in the BTwincap driver install, I chose PAL_I because I'm in the UK, I'm assuming the tuner for each country is setup to work with either NTSC or PAL, but then can support the different options for each version of that TV method?

It's a WinTV PVR/FM PCI card. Don't know if Radiator or the BTWincap drivers support the USB WinTV units as I've never owned one, Sorry.

n8scstm - what are chances of this working with a USB wintv unit, im trying to find some info that states what chip these things use with no luck
i would try it out but I have the USB configured nicely in my car already, its such a pain in the *** to configure/test something on the carPC

Yep,when testing on my main PC, I get radio function at least in Centrafuse (haven't tried Frodoradio part. Can't see why it don't work though if it uses Radiator.
going to be physically building the car PC soon, once I get my Nlited custom install disk sorted.

man, i can get sound, but its stuck on the station it was last tuned too. I tried your, TV CAN TUNE RADIO, but it still doesnt work.
When windows is installing the new drivers, everythiung seems to work except for the TV tuner, which I get the, "this device can not start (code 10)" error.

anyone have luck with getting the aimslab vhx card to work with this? so far i can get it to tune TV fine, but FM is a no go. and unless im mistaken, there are no xp compatible drivers so im stuck with just the generic bt8x8 drivers.

I had this problem too. Uninstall everything. I mean everything. Go into the hardware manager, click view, show hidden devices, non-plug and play devices, and search for anything related to the card. Then try to reinstall it only using the custom btwincap drivers. It should only ask for 2 drivers. If it asks for more, dont install them, and go back into the hardware manager and disable the ones that have the question mark next to them. Then try radiator again. Good luck.
And I have no idea about the usb model.

damn. im also getting the same problem (device cannot start code 10). unfortunately, other than previously installed devices like the sound card, audio/video codecs, etc.. i cant find anything related to the tuner. i both went through the bt driver installer and just the device manager to remove it, but nothing has worked. i also found a driver on driverguide.com which had the same bt driver installer, but included an aimslab vhx btspy report which i used, but i still cant get anywhere with this
