Simulate Hardware (VMWare or Virtual PC)

Hi there,

Has anyone come up with a decent way of prototyping their car pc inside the house. I basically can't do any serious modification to the software in the car, as file transfering and the interface just arn't up to it, as well as the fact it's cold and uncomfortable. But stripping out the whole pc to do modifications is a massivo pain.

What I really want, is to use Virtual PC (which I have) to make up the system for the car, and then just slap bang copy it into the car, somehow. (although obviously the hardware won't be the same so xp will muck up)

Arrg, basically this is annoying me, what is everyone else's method?

Go to this link. There is a PDF file that describes how to move a virtual machine to a physical machine. You can also download the VMWare Server for free now as well to run on your PC here. Don't forget to register for your free serial number. Also there is a converter for taking a physical machine to a vmware machine here.
