I have a problem with the Brainstem adapter. If I it to the DSATX do not attach start my PC any longer correctly. It starts, goes out however equivalent again. And the LED of the DSATX flashes 4 or 5 times. What does that lie?? If I the Brainstem do not attach function everything normally. A RESET I made, it help also not.

4 blinks = Over or Under Temperature Condition. (Are you using a fan?)
5 blinks = Power Supply Overload or Fault (ACC must go low to clear a fault)

It is not a temperature problem! The DSATX runs for days problem-free, as soon as I do not connect however the Brainstem want the DSATX for more. I found a contribution, but I white like that does not mean with the cable. See here:

Well, I think this is the wrong thread for this kind of posting. I did not modify my brainstem and it works correctly. I think Zootjeff has a fireware update to correct issues with the branstem plugged in. When I sent him mine, he updated the firmware on it. Let him know what version you have, and maybe you'll need an update.

I think I have already the most current firmware. I try to find that out tomorrow. Which version is the newest?? Can I program the most current version over Brainstem?

yes, you can program the newest version via brainstem
I also had a similar problem - my DSATX wouldnt turn on if it was plugged in during startup. I never fixed it, but Im glad to hear that Jeff fixed this in a firmware update .

Hello guys,
If anyone wants the swf in a different resolution just say. The swf itself is transparent so it should show the background through and blend in with any colour so it should look good in any skin. I am sorry I have had no chance on working on it for a long time, but i ll try to get it up to date bit by bit. I have a setup fro comfoolery downloaded somewhere so if anyone wants it just shout
Alex

Can you add the current Download in the first Post?? My DSATX with Brainstem functioned now finally correctly and I would like to test gladly your program. "Zerach" programmed at present also a very beautiful Tool, unfortunately he has also straight hardware problems.

FYI if anyone needs a brainstem, all you need is a MAX233 integrated circuit, some wire and the connectors. The MAX233 data sheet shows all you need to hook everything up. I used a female DB9 connector on the serial end and for the other end I used a 4 pin female connector from a cd drive audio cable. 3 wires go to the DB9- RX TX and ground and 4 wires to the brainstem- the 2 signal wires and 5 volts and ground. I just hardwired right to the MAX233 and covered it with shrinkwrap. I have a brainstem too but it didn't fit in my case because of the way it sticks out of the circuit board. You could also use a MAX232 if you add some capacitors.
