How to get to handsfree HFP bluetooth profile with WIDCOMM SDK

Dear All,
Please do not offer PhoneControl.

With Sasmung T809, Nokia 8800 Sirocco, Siemens phone, I got handsfree to work fine.

In Windows XP, one can handle incoming phone calls easily (PC works as handsfree). WIDCOMM 5.0.1802 is in use. On incoming call, you just click on bubble in right corner, and voila, you are on the phone.

It would be nice of Having simple GUI more convenient than what is present.

I looked into WIDCOMM SDK, and there is almost no trace for HFP (handsfree) profile handling. Broadcom did not publish handsfree class in SDK.
So what would be an 1/2 hour task becomes much more difficult.

WIDCOMM driver definitely supports handsfree. There is no ActiveX control with SDK installed unfortunately, so you can also not do this.

Any programming hints how to manage HFP and access Bluetooth stack?
M$ Platform SDK may be - what header?

Yes, there is a way to reverse engineer SDK and WIDCOMM driver libraries, but it is out of scope. I would rather buy hardware solution for this.

Thanks in advance.
Novoardo

I have asked broadcom for few extra header files. All necessary HFP classes are in SDK libraries already.

Still waiting. For eager ones, just get out export list of DLL, and symbols with DUMPBIN from library. Thus you can build a header .. and share it with community.
And of course you can dial the support and eventually get to support department.
They may be reluctant to disclose CBwtApp and stack interface, but I see no big deal disclosing HFP profile classes.
They done so with other services. I suspect they think not to many people interesting to evaluate it.
They may want to include it in next SDK release.
If marketing get involved, it is a real mess than. They will decide forever. For engineering, they are pretty reasonable, calling them up may work actually.

I have a disabled son and I want to create a special GUI on his wheelchair based computer to give him access to a cell phone via HFP. Did you figure out how to do this?

Do you know anything about BlueSoleil bluetooth stack?

My preference would be to use Widcom if I could.

Thanks in advance for your help
