virtual pc problem

I have set up a few different versions of xp that I set up using nlite along with a full version of xp on virtual pc. I have had no problems getting my os's working, but I cannot install any software (specifically front ends)...I'll drag the install files onto the cd just as I did with the .iso file when installing the os, but nothing happens. Is this not a capability of a virtual pc? What do I need to do in order to be able to install files from my os onto the virtual pc so I can continue refining my software?

you can either create an iso with the frontend install on it, the click CD, capture ISO image or
go to settings pick hard disk 2 or 3, create new hard disk, in the options it will allow capture of a real hard drive (ex your current C-drive) then it will show up in virtual windows as your d drive, just be very careful what you do while this drive is active, because it could mess up your real OS if you commit changes to the real drive

that or setup a share on your host install and access it with the virtual PCs

Thats what I did for my XP and my Server 2008 Installs

well, my face is red...after all that I didn't try to install virtual pc additions...which takes care of the problem completely so... shame on me. Thanks for your help though.
