XP Problem

Hi guys, i started my PC today and it goes to the Windows screen it says Windows is starting up..... but it just stays there, i cant get it to boot. Do i need to reformat, or does someone have a way around this? Thanks in advance

There was just a discussion a couple of days ago about how frustrating it is when people post a problem, figure the answer out, and then just post that they figured it out. By posting only that you figured it out, the thread is no use whatsoever to others who may have the same problem. Please go ahead and tell us what the problem was and how you fixed it.
