Guys Check this out I have been working on it for a while, It is now where near ready. But I think it has promise.
any way unpack the zip, register remoteplayerctrl.dll and it should work, Oh and you need dotnet 2.0. and for navigation you need IGuidance 3.0, Windows Media Player 10+ is required for music.
Oh and dont be shy, I am open to all criticism

i wouldnt scrap the project just yet, i was interested in trying it but was having trouble getting the remoteplayerctrl.dll to register
Sorry, here are the files , you need the Visual C++ Redist, and also an updated copy of AndiFull.exe, You need to run vcredist_x86.exe and then remoteplayerctrl.dll should work, also replace the AndiFull.exe with the one in the update.

So here comes my review . As you said I won't be shy. So after installing the update running the exe and registering the dll. I loaded up the program. After that well uhm it went orange. That's it. I was wondering where are the main menu buttons. Is it just my pc or is the program freaking.
Still I was able to give you some information. I would lose the orange color but because it is skinnable don't worry about it. I was able to see when I was looking at the skin files that it would be pretty easy to make a skin. I tried changing the forecolor in the settings file but had zero result so I just click the orange buttons and waited for something to happen. Nice to keep in mind the text on the top which told me what number was playing did appear. Also the buttons on the main menu where a bit large the fell out off the box you created for them (that square thingy :P)
So the first button I clicked was the (I guess Jukebox button). It looked clean and located the My Music directory nicely. Downside because I am from holland I do not have a My Music directory (I don't have a My Video directory either). But because some program created it it was able to load. Could not see any names but could see images. Worked nicely and clean interface.
As for the second button (video) it could not find my video directory because I have a dutch version of windows. Created one and it worked. Looks nice just as the music player.
I do not have nav installed on my main pc just like xm so could not test that. Would like to test it some more when the buttons are fixed so I can see what I am clicking. Keep up the good work.
So a small list of things to fix:
- Button texts
- My Music (Dutch: Mijn Muziek)
- My Video (Dutch: Mijn Video's)
- Doesn't load very quickly when booting why ???
As for the skinnability and all nice work keep it up.
Thanks for checking things out. I have a couple of questions..
1) What was the resolution you were using, the program only works with 800x600
2) What CPU, RAM does your Test PC Contain.
3) Do you have your music files loaded in a Windows Media Player Library, if not then that is why you did not get a list of albums.. in the Jukbox.
Again thank you so much for your help, I will try to fix a few things then post again if dont mind looking at it once more.

Well I do have music files loaded in windows media player and I can see the albums. But I can not access the video menu because I have a dutch version of windows xp. This means that the path c:/documents and settings/username/My Music and c:/documents and settings/username/My Video's do not exist. They are called Mijn Muziek and Mijn Video's.
As for my system specs:
Windows XP Pro (Dutch)
Ram: 2 Gb
Harddisk: 250 GB
Processor: AMD Athlon (32 bit so default) 3000+ (equals 3 ghz)
My screen resolution was 1440 x 900 but I just changed it to 800 x 600 and it did the same thing. Here's a picture of it running
O and please do one more thing for me. Let me be able to select if the program can hide my start bar.
Don't mind testing it out when you made changes.

i also get a error message every time i click on something

I tried it on my laptop (resolution 1440 by 800) and it worked nicely (at least the buttons show up). I will review it later today. But still it would be good if it worked on all systems .
In the next couple of days, I will make work with other languages and post the updated EXE..
Also I have Skin Maker Program, you think I should post that ..

You should definitly post the skin maker program. Maybe I will even try to create a nice one for you just for fun (not that good of a skinner) but still.
About the languages you should add a default one just for people that use foreign languages.
Ok here is an update, corrected the bug to allow other languages besides english, also add settings screen, which will allow you to turn on and off some of the options

. As you said I won't be shy. So after installing the update running the exe and registering the dll. I loaded up the program. After that well uhm it went orange. That's it. I was wondering where are the main menu buttons. Is it just my pc or is the program freaking.
