Ahhhhh, WMP hell. Need to use DirectShow!

Right, I've written most of my front-end and the last thing to do is have a DVD player. I was going to use Windows Media Player, but I can't get it to play a DVD. If I run WMP it plays the sound and not the video. I have downloaded loads of different codecs and searched all over the internet, but can't sort it out. Most people say that DirectShow is the best thing to use for DVD playback.

Please can someone point me at a bit of source code written in VB.net for DirectShow, as I can't figure out anything from the Microsoft site, and the directX SDK doesn't have any vbnet samples of DVD players.

Thanks agin
