Any plans for satellite radio? That's what I use most in the car, and this F/E looks very nice!

HI m8, sadly because we dont have xm or sat radio in the uk it would be hard to code for it.. but that doesnt mean someone couldnt write a plugin for it.

My app uses a single flash file and has the ability to turn off audio / radio etc.. so say you sent a msg from my flash program to the sat plugin.. sendmsg;SATPLUGIN;start and then change the flash sprite over to the sat screen, the satplugin then could send labels / value etc into freeice via the comsend command.. these are borrowed from roadrunner as its what Ive been using for the last few years and have been a good tried and tested method.

Certainly... I wish I had coding ability, I'd write the plugin myself! Well I'll keep an eye on this and if someone writes the plugin, I'll be all over this F/E!

great work and cant wait until the next release. one thing i noticed is you cant just add single tracks to the playlist. when you click on one track it just loads the whole cd. it would be sweet to be able to add tracks from different cds into one playlist

Good to see you are still around CdR. Looks like a good app. I look forward to trying it when I get time.

Nice work m8!

I like, very simple, easy to use, no bloat. All the benchmarks of good software.

This is, as usual for your work CdRSkull, absolute gold! I was just in the process of teaching myself flash, but you have clearly beaten me to the punch. I would definitely like to talk to you about the possibility of skinning the app.

I do have 2 questions. First, where is the album art obtained from, and can it read from the embedded art in the mp3 itself? I currently use the MP3Art.dll for Roadrunner as I have all of the music in a single folder.

The second question is more self serving, I run a dual monitor setup in the Santa Fe. The top is a touchscreen lilliput for the pc interface and the second is my head unit which is just a display screen. Currently I have the bottom screen setup to show the 3 flash guages for satellites, speed and heading, and the info from the mp3 tag on all screens except one, which is basically a fullscreen visualization controlled on the touch and the visu plays on every other screen in the truck (there are 9) (here's a pic of the physical dash setup). Would there be any way to add the bottom screen via a skin to your app?

Hi m8, it would need a extra wide skin to cover all the screens. Yes I will be doing one as my car also has two screens, the bottom one on mine is touch, top just normal.

Will be doing this once I have got to a usable standard..

Although I am on version 0.6 now :-)

[Updated in 0.6] 08 Jan 08

Added Hibernation awareness, now resumes from media and radio
Added SDK (untested) should recieve similar commands to RR
Fixed Prev / tune down button

[Updated in 0.5] 07 Jan 08

Added SiLabs Radio Compatability
Added second way of Embedding ( add ,0 or ,1 to the end.. see fi.ini for example)
Fixed Track info on first start bug
+ more bits I cant remember

DOWNLOAD

I really like this. I tried changing the resolution to 640x480, and changed fullscreen=true and hidetaskbar=true in the skin.ini and fi.ini files respectively and the visualation when small doesnt line up....?
