Help me decide between Streetdeck and RoadRunner
I am piecing together my first CarPC and am trying to decide on the front end.
Things that are important to me: Audio playback (WMA and CD), Nav, Bluetooth control of my cell.
I have been playing around with RoadRunner alot and am liking it. If I go with this I will buy a copy of iGuidance for navigation. What is holding me back is the lack of a current phone dialer.
Streetdeck is ofcourse expensive but it seems to offer everything I want. The problem I am seeing is that alot of people are not satisfied with the nav.
So what would you recommend for me?

Streetdeck nav is...not good. If Nav is important to you, go with something else.
Bluetooth phone on SD is under development, in beta, but the release date is....uncertain.
If you like Roadrunner already, stick with it. I am sticking with SD for three reasons. 1. Hope that they will get all the problems worked out. 2. I already spent the money on it. and 3. It's relatively easy to make the interface look exactly like I want it, which is important to me.

Thanks for your response. The MP3Car store says SD bluetooth is coming soon but the SD website made it sound like it was already available.
You have a nice G. My carputer is also going in my G35, mine is a sedan though.

Roadrunner all the way. Had I known 6 months ago what I know now about Streetdeck, I would have never spent a penny on it.

Road Runner, free, easy to use, and can be setup the way you want it. Also there is such a nice range of plugins for it that you wont get on other front ends from car maintainance, speed camera alerts, speedfan etc.
Only real advantage of going with others that charge is the fact that its runs out of the box usually with idiot proof settings if you havnt got the time to really get into carputers sometimes this is they way to go

SD and Centrafuse have trial use periods. Download them and try them. See which you like best and go with it.
Personally, I've tried both SD and Centrafuse, I don't completely like either. Neither is all that configurable, like RoadRunner.

SD and CF come ready to use almost out of the box. RR doesn't.
It depends on how much time you want to spend on configuring software. For a lot of people on this forum, RR is the way to go. They are tweakers and they love the ability to configure till their hearts content.
If you're not one of those guys, RR won't be for you.

FreeIce, Free simple and easy. Work without with little configuration.

I think I have settled with RoadRunner. Now that I have found FreeFone and got it working with my phone it will do everything I need.

FreeICE looks like it will be one of the best choices to go with... when it's completed. At this point it's fast, stable, clean and easy to use/install/configure.
If it has the two things I need added in when it's done... it'll replace RR for me.
