xp shells as frontends

im looking into the soft side of my planned build as i wait on my 8" screen turning up & am considering using an xp shell replacement as im keen for something a little different in the car but with the full functionality of the native OS.

im toying with http://bb4win.sourceforge.net/bblean/ at the moment & wondered if anyone else ad gone down this route?

it may be a dead end but ive yet to come across a frontend to really grab me on both aesthetics and function.

I run RR as shell in my build.

That would be interesting... Maybe you can try samurize as to my knowledge (at least some years ago when i was younger and used to expirement with this sort of applications) it's the most popular and powerful

yes, i think you might be onto something - id forgotten all about samurize!

i was just fiddling around with a combination of xpize and rocketdock.
