Haven't tried new plugin, will try. The older plugin did not work properly, that's why I was using autoplay

congrats on getting it running!

as you said, they use csv (comma seperated values). i too tried asterisk, but after readin some literature finally got that

and frodo, the current version readme blows, find the link to a doc on ALL updates, and you can see all the functions, like the modifiers and stuff

as for winamp, what i do is set winamp2 to dock in tray. that way, when you close a vis, you don't lose focus from myHTPC. i am using the Milkdrop vis (by Geiss). i just press on 'Full Screen' and it pops up, and to close it just hit the escape key. for more vis options, just go to winamp.com, click on winamp2 (its in the corner) and there you have a bunch

is WEBSITES option disabled or is there other way to gat it to work?

Is there any tutorilas on the net about how to use all config components in myhtpc?

frodobaggins,
i have a question for ya. When i use "myHTPCbrowser" with R14.76 or earlier i can't get it to work correctly, here's what happens: i set it up to be launched by a executable and point to the dir etc.... anyhow, when i try to launch the program it only shows in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen indicating that it is running. I can't figure out why it won't show on the screen thou. Without myHTPC runnning i can double click myHTPCbrowser executable and have it work no problem. It seems to be with just this app since i can launch any other program no problem. Am i missing something in the "Parameters" box or "starting dir" in the settings window of myHTPC ?. If you have something in the Parameters box what do you have?

This is for my home setup running XPpro SP1 running dual monitors, and i've already tried turning off 1 monitor to see if that would help but nothing.

Any suggestions

*Assuming your using WinAmp 2.xx and myHTPC R14.76 .

*Make sure your music folders are like this ( how i have mine ), Artist, Album, music file.

Read this at least once before you try...

---only change what i mention, leave all the rest default---

-open up the myHTPCconfig , highlight myHTPC then click on the "white piece of paper with the page corner folded", choose "media" , this creates a new button and you can rename it WinAmp if you want.
-Highlight your new button.
-Under "general tab" choose your root folder, "media file extentions" type "mp3", "folder level description" choose artist ( then the + sign gets bold click that to add to the box ) then choose Title ( then repeat with + ....etc)
-Under "display tab" leave as default.
-Under "player tab" choose the winamp plugin (its in the myHTPC dir) . In the Value field type in "C:\Program Files\Winamp\winamp.exe" (if you fail to put in this Value WinAmp will not load and NO music will be playable, but the songs and albums will appear in myHTPC)
-Under "Metadata files" you should see all your albums, check check all then create files
-Go to the "General tab" and click build now.

Now hit OK

sorry, I've been busy, your config file is messed up, change it to reflect your resolution you'll be running at, and also the background pic has to be named "background-800x600.jpg" whatever resolution it is. Tried changing it, it doesn't work. Just make one your desired resolution but put it at that name. Of course he may have fixed this by now.
