[WXP] Problem when copying OS from HDD to CF ...

Hello,

For a while i'm building a CarPC for Renault Megane. I've managed to install XP, minlogon, EWF, and some stuff on a temporary harddrive, but now i want to copy it on a CF through a CD/IDE adapted.

I precise i've an UDMA one.

i tried to copy my installation of XP to another HDD, it works perfectly (it starts on c:\docs and settings\Defaut User profile) !!

But when i copy it to the final CF, at boot, XP start on C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile ... which is not what i want ...

I tried both with acronis true image and partition magic, and the result is still the same.

As it works with another hdd, i think the copy is good but xp might discover that something is wrong for him durig boot, and restore this special system account ...

I wonder if there is some work to do with "LastGood" or ControlSetxxx keys in registry ... but i don't know what to do exactly ... If someone knows this problem i would appreciate to known the solution

Thanks,

actyln
