Question XP to 98lite file transfer error

Wondering if anyone has come accross this error?

I am transfering mp3s/movies to my carputer 98lite box from my Xp Pro on my home network, and keep getting the error:

"'Cannot copy (FILENAME). The specified network resource of device is no longer available"

It seams to appear at random when either pushing XP to 98 or pulling the data 98 from XP. As I have been able to transfer some songs but it Halts the transfer process big time when there are soo many files to transfer.

HOWEVER!... this does not occur when transfering from my Win2000 Pro work laptop!!

Question

I realise this has been touched on before in:

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...&threadid=3949

but the fact that I can transfer the files from one computer and not from another (both in same room) to my mp3box downstairs is pretty bizare.

I have found:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=301337

indicating this problem occuring on win2000 (it is win 2000 that works for me! lol) but on XP I have found nothing!

Any ideas!

I have used 'filesync' as someone has suggested in the linked post, and this has got around the problem! but if anyone knows why it was occuring in the first place, just out of curiosity, then I would love to know.
