mp3 player that's usable on a tv

Looking for a good mp3 player program that can be used with TV-out (aka large fonts). Any suggestions? I usually use iTunes as my player but it's too hard to see through composite.

When I get mine done it should look great on a TV.

I believe any of the other players should look fine on a tv though.

Just a player or a full front end? I already use myHTPC as my frontend, I'm just looking for a way to use playlists and non-English mp3s.

Who's to say you can't use another frontend as a module in myHTPC ?
I used to use AutoPlay as a module for it because I couldn't stand the way
myHTPC did it.

Nothing, except for the extra clutter. I'm actually playing around with the 4am console right now. Getting it to quit properly is a pain though, running out of buttons on my remote, lol.

Use myHTPC as the frontend and launch 4am music player from that. Thats what Im using now in my house and my car (10" vga screen). You should be able to program a "alt F4" into your remote, then you can close just about anything. Using this method, you can also launch any program you need fron myHTPC with your remote and keep your music playing

Im in the process of skinning 4am player for better use with touchscreen. All it needs is a couple larger buttons (im changing color scheme too).

Short answer: Yes.

myHTPC is completely modular. Theres tons of plugins available to do just about anything. Theres more than one TV tuner plugin, and I think they all record. Search here: http://myhtpc.net/forum/search.php?mode=results for "record TV" or the like.

Yes. The tv plug-in from Top100 seems to be the popular one. I think he just did an update a day or two ago.

I'd suggest J.River's Media Center 9.1 (soon 10). I use that on several computers in the house and in the car as well. Three zones in the car really takes the edge of the parents-kids-conflict. My son listens to The Hobbit on his headphones, my daughter listens to Barbie Hits # 237 and I and my wife listen to Alan Parsons or any other song from my close to 40 000 tracks MP3 library.
