Using UK speed cam database in VB

Anyone think how best to use the UK speed camera database within VB

I'd like to build an app which can pick up current GPS location ( from Destinator 2 SDK ), and then alert by screen and audio that a speed cam is near - how can I cross reference the entire database at regular intervals with current location without bringing system to a halt?
