Heat problems??

HELLO,
just wonder if anyone ever has any problems with heat, it gets about 90 degress in the summer down here. Will that mess up any of my system? So far i have XENARC 700TSV screen that i just put in the car. (looks good too

) Nest to install the pc part which is a MiniQ. but i'm worried about the heat issue. wondering if anyone could give me any ideas? Sorry wrong thread...

If the processor heat sink is well seated and has a fan.... and your case fan moves a reasonable ammount of air you should be fine.

Read up, many ideas some of them are crazy. Try a search on cooling, heat or fans

What I have noticed so far is if the temperature gets towards 80F here in New York the carputer heats up too much but if I run my air conditiioned on the coolest level low speed then the cabin cools enough to keep my proc/case temp running at 45C/<20C. THat's my only solution so far. And I have 3 fans on my "case"

EDIT: also my computer is in my glovebox

I use to have heat problems, but since I upgraded my processor fan to an extra high RPM one and glued a heatsink to my onboard GeForce processor, its been fine running in the trunk outside of a case.

Well I live in Las Vegas and my shuttle has not had a problem so far. I just remember to put a cover over the Lilliput when I leave the car in the sun (and to hide it from prying eyes).

I am about to install the whole thing from the Shuttle case into the VCR case that was an optional fit in the Chevy Venture that I have and turn it into a 'stealth' install. To avoid heat problems I am tapping into the A/C pipework and feeding cold air to the front of the unit so that the rear fans will then pull the chilled air across the board and through the heatpipe of the shuttle mobo. As we always run A/C here in Vegas it should be fine.

If you can redirect A/C air to the trunk or wherever you install your PC and feed it into the opposite end from the fans it will certainly help on those hot days.

Carefull, even in Vegas you might want the heat at some point.
