Win XP start up screen

How can I change/customize the Win XP start up screens?

Is this possible at all?

You can simply edit the ntoskrnl.exe using a hex editor. Here's more info

There also freeware programs that will do this for you. One of them is bootxp, once again

Fellas, that last post right there is what these forums are all about. Some folks get all torqued out of shape when asked something that is redundant to them, but personally, if I don't even know what to look for, it's sometimes a little hard to get Google to cough up what I need.
Places like this are awesome, because we can not only get a person with a brain to respond to an obscure question, but we also get the benefit of each others' experience. If I had been the one asking the question in this thread, I would be feeling pretty much like this fella is right now. I agree: This forum (and the people on it) rock(s).*

Is it possible to change the windows return from Hibernation screen? That is what I can't find any information on... I want a cool bootup screen, but I only use hibernation...

As a caution though, I have heard that this can be dangerous, and can sometimes leave a system unbootable. Make sure you backup or do a revocery disk first...
