Some are free to download but we help out when we can through donations, like media car for instance.

Yeah as above some are completely freeware
Amanda is not even shareware!!! you have to pay to even try it! the video demo looks good though!

Media Engine and Media Car and of course the most popular of the current time and place is frodoplayer these are the 3 most popular players / frontends!
All 3 are freeware ofcourse donations and comments continue great support.

Amanada: No one talks of amanda here, however would be nice to see some info on it maybe.

Alexis: should be good, ive closely been following that one cum'on Deadweasel! cant wait

V.O.I.C.E.S: seems to be good but i understand work is currently on hold for a while.

Multi Media Centre: Its quick it looks good it works well!! but ive been told it may be like amanda you will have to pay for it when its complete!

There are a few other pieces of sofware avlaliable to such as Carbox, Cobra I,II,III and carplayer SP, and plenty of LCD suuport only players some are freeware some are shareware

And of course not forgetting our own work in progress Masterpiece A.I.M.E.E
Its free to all Mp3car.com members always will be............
however if some greedy company comes along wanting all our hardwork to make money then we may say OI....... and hold out palms out to them!

Its "Mobile Media Center" I cant say this enough on this site, but it will remain free to Mp3car users, the pay for version will have alot of features that require our hardware to utilize them but, for the most part for DYI's the media playback is plenty.

Ya, this is about the 12341235135135th time this has been said.

Best front ends: Frodoplayer and Mobile Media Center.
Media Engine and Media Car IMO both suck if you have more than 100 songs in your database.

I like MediaCar! Its very simple and to me that's what you need in a car. All that sorting by artist, album stuff is better left at home. I just hope I dont meet someone on the road who is trying to type in a search.

I wouldnt say that any of the FREE software here sux! People should just try them all and see what they like. Don't you?
