Which pioneer did you have? I have a pioneer premier 850 2003 model and it doesnt do it :/ I would really like to that option incase its just something I might be missing in one of the menus.

I had the first OEL (the blue and green screen) pioneer on the market.

And to date they havent come close to the screen the DEH8000 had. All the new blu/green screens are so much smaller and MUCH less detailed. Though mine had absolutely none of those cool dolphinsand ****. I just had 2 animations of a cityscape and outerspace. And a false EQ band.

Though it IS top of the line because when you consider HUs, its all about voltage output and # of outputs. If you buy one for $200 its prolly only got stereo out. If you buy $400 itll have sub and stereo. And for $600 you get front, rear and subs and for a little more an AUX intput.

If you spend less than what I just quoted (pioneer only, what else u gonna buy? Eclipse?) then its either a crappy HU with no EQ of any value.

How detailed you can edit the EQ and the # of outputs equals the cost of a HU.
