*Idea* OBD-II Visualization
I'm gonna put something out there, and if you want it you can take it, if not just send it right back....
and I know it's pretty worthless and has no actualy functionality except looking really awesome, but hear me out.
Whenever I drive with music I sub-conciously time my driving with temp/style/energy going on with the music. This, combined with milkdrop visulisations provides for a pretty trippy experience.. but i want more.
How cool would it be to have your OBD-II input into a winamp visualization. Acceleration/turning/braking/ all could have some affect on the visualization so that when you speed up or take a left, the image actually looks like you're speeding up in a wormhole and veering to the left.
Anyways, if your bored and have no life.
Code it.

You're right, it would be worthless.
But, it would be usefull, if, for example, you could set the maximum speed to 60, and when you go faster than 60, a warning message appears.

That part can be dones easier and cheaper with GPS. Actually, iGuidance/Routis has that feature built in. You just type in the speed tha you want the warning message to pop-up.

Yeah, this is something that I planned to look into when I got an OBD reader.
It may not be too functional, but I think it would a cool feature, and I don't think most of us would be on this site if we only installed stuff in our car that we NEEDED.

Once I actually get something OBD working reliablity I'll give it a go. Though i think I'd probably do RPM + MAF as that would change a lot depending on how you drive. The turn left/right thing is a no no as far as I know

I already drive like crazy and time things to the music, with something like this, I would be driving timing my driving to when ever the thing changed colors! Definitely huge pimp factor! Anybody know how to do this, and have the time?
