I just got my new VIA EPIA MII 12000 and one of this first jobs I wanted to do was replace the boot logo with a custom one. i.e. BMW logo on a black background.
I followed all the instructions in the Different BIOS boot logo screen thread. SO I made a bitmap image 640x480, then converted it to Tif. I checked the tif file and there is no problem there. I then garbbed the most upto date bios from via - I0A00135.bin and used the utilities to put the new logo in. I then tried to flash the bios. Initially it wouldn't work and flashed up insufficient memory so i udes the /tiny switch next to the awflash (via version) command. This worked and when I rebooted the bmw logo came up but the logo has a thick white line around it the edge of the image. Almost like 640x480 is not quite big enough.
Does anyone have any ideas? I don't want to try again yet if I don't know what caused it, as I know flashing the bios is a bit risky.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Ben
