Post cell phone ware

I've read about using a cell phone as part of a lojack system, but how about using the carputer to lookup, dail, and speakerphone on a cell phone? Anyone know of such software and hareware interface combo? They had this awesome cradle for the autopc that did all that.

I can do it with my Nokia 8290 via irport. Also Alpine had 2 different cell phone/alarm combos that would call you when your alarm went off and you could hit different keys on the phone and arm, disarm, activate aux functions and speakerphone. You could also call it, you didn't have to wait for the alarm to go off.

If you have an IR port in the front dash, and a nokia phone (I have a 8890) you can use programs such as logoexpress go.to/logoexpress to dial your phone through IR port. (but IR ports need a direct line of sight remember)

What it comes down to there are no GSM providers in my area and no phones the support TDMA have IRports. I have the Nokia 8260. It's a good phone, but would be great if it had an IR port.
