The parts have all been ordered, and I am waiting patiently for everything to come in. I wish everyone was as quick as mouser.com. I ordered a ground shipment at 7:45pm and it showed up the next day (i guess they are really close ).
Anyway, I wanted to let everyone know that I am working on GPS support. Right now the app logs the speed, direction, and latitude/longitude in the alert log. I plan to make available an option to auto-mute based on speed soon.

Any of these left to purchase? I just got my V1 the other day and I'd like to hook it up to my carputer. I'd take a serial or USB interface.
Thanks

My goal, of course, is to eventually have AWACS functionality in my car.
Awesome, and now that everyone has EVDO (haha) we can have real time collaboration on where stuff is.... So say my V1 detects a laser, it's location is sent to remote server thing, which syncs to my friends gps/v1 program 10 miles behind me. So he sees/hears/whatever a "laser warning: 800ft" or something like that when he comes to it. It could aslo have kind of a heartbeat, older detections would be red/greyed out while new/updated ones would glow green?
Even if it isn't realtime it would be cool to have a map of all "hotspots" or "false-detections" linked into GPS with a collaborative database of all V1 users!
Sorry if this has already been done thought of, I am fairly new :0

there is a guy that has put together a database for this sort of thing, and once a few people are using this, i may talk to him again about integration.

its always possible, but this is a hardware/software combination that replaces an exicsting piece of official hardware (the Valentine One Concealed Display). I dont know anything about that detector itself, so i can't really say how hard/easy it would be.

I just received the tracking info for the last of the parts (and the most important, the circuit boards). The company that is producing them is pretty cheap for small orders, but I guess they make up for it in their turnaround time. I should be getting all the boards on Monday. I will be testing everything out, then hopefully start sending out the units next week. I will be shipping out the assembled units in the order i received payment, and I will be building them by hand, so it may take a few days to get them all out.
I am excited to see some other people using the V1 Virtual Display Soon!

I want one. What are my options if I didn't get in on the first order? Can I build one my self?

I got some extra parts, and I may have one or two extra (if I don't screw anything up building them). I was also thinking of maybe putting one up on ebay. If all goes well, I can make another batch. Send me an email (dolphin at exitzer0 dot com) and I will send you an email when i am ready to do another.
