OK I give up, I've tried media engine and everything worked fine except I coulnt scroll or use the on screen volume controls. So today I installed Frodoplayer and I still have no volume control, mute works but not volume. I can only control volume via my keyboard volume controls. I really hate having to drive around with a keyboard laying on my front seat but i cant figure out why the hell I cant use the on screen controls.

I'm using a wireless keyboard with ps2 connections from the IR to the motherboard and the touchscreen is a lilliput USB. I can only guess that the keyboard is somehow overiding the usb function. I dont want to totally remove the keyboard though

any suggestions on a fix?

sounds like a driver problem, it could be that your computer is expecting the keyboard to control it. I know on the gateway I had I had to do a fresh load of windows and not include the "gateway" package of extras...

windows media player 10? try that i know i couldnt forward my songs in frodo witout it

The drivers are just the standard ac97 and via sound drivers so I dont know what the problem is, I may just go ahead and swap out the whole motherboard tomorrow anyway, I have an athlon 850 sitting around with a SB audigy card in it. I'll let ya know if that changes anything
