tons of music
I was just wondering... how do you guys sort through all of your music in these different interfaces? I have been using itunes for a long time now and i usually use the search box to play what i want. Im guessing most of you have thousands of songs like myself, how do you sort through what you want to hear? I havent checked out every interface available here, but it seems to me like all of them just have a scroll bar to scroll through the music...
So, is there any interfaces that have a search option?

Nice skin thantos, looks very nice to use, however it would be nice to have a search bar without the on screen keyboard. While i search thoguh there, know of any other good ones?

you can modify the skin so the OSK doesnt popup.. but since we generally use this in our car WITHOUT a keyboard... we would have a really hard time typing in what we wanna search for...
Are you using this in your car??.. if so.. how on earth do you see anything on Itunes??

I used to have about 10,000 songs and they were just jumbled together in various directories. They were an accumulation of years of gathering stuff.
I had started to organize them and gather artwork and such. There are a few apps that automatically update tag info etc ... but you have to have some sort of organization to begin with..
This was all changed as I had moved everything to an external firewire drive ( F'in Maxtor POS ) and the drive crashed... so I had to start over again. I had some backed up on DVDs ( unable to read for some reason ) and about 3,000 in various other places.
Now, I am doing it right and organizing them so that the applications can keep track of what I have better.
I have always liked how Winamp uses the media library. It gets slow when you have tons and tons, but I think that it's the best right now for organizing stuff that is not already in set folders etc ...
