realtime window capture program

what im looking to accomplish is tricking rr into having dual screen support for gps

ill have everything load normally as far as rr is concerned but i want to have a window sniffer of sorts that will copy any graphics in the intellawincls class of iguidance and display them in its own program window so that i can export that new program window to display 2 all the time so this way ill have a dedicated gps screen as well as retaining functionality of iguidance

i tried just simply exporting the iguidance screen but then i cant control it effectively because i loose the mouse function being mapped to the secondary display

anyone know how i might be able to do this via software

talk to frodo, he has a sort of visualization that makes a copy of the area near your cursor.... maybe he can give you a pointer... but I think that only works when you actually have it displayed on a screen, not just a hidden window... although you could always setup a virtual desktop in XP if you have an extra video output, (you need a video card for windows to allow that) then you could run it "hidden" and copy...

the second display is the extended desktop i just cant get anything to work i tired igzoom but it will only grab from the actual desktop

i think if i have iguidance set to only open on display 2 and then embed the "copy" of it into RR as the embeded app then it might work

problem is i need to find a program that will pass keystrokes to IG when its on disp 2 and ill need to scale/stretchthe "copy" of iguidance to fit in rr

Wait so the actuall IG window is on display 2, and the copy is on display 1? And IG is always visible on display 2?

yes or vise versa
the reason im thinking that is the best way to do it would be because otherwise the proram that would copy the window probably doesnt know whether or not im on the ig screen there fore it will just copy whatever is in that active area no matter what unless there is a program that can read only that which is actully IG and move it over to display 2.

Also a side question is it possible to run a virtual desktop with its own mouse settings? it own TS driver etc and have one screen strictly for gps and the other for music etc. all on the same pc.
