accensound you miss the point I think... although there are all those complex types of interactions between HVAC control unit and HVAC compressors, etc, the control units follow some sort of standard.... basically knobs/buttons/sliders, etc...

from what I understsand this project owuld be able to control the control unit, not replace it! so again, it will work on most units I gather...

doing it directly would be basically impossible... tka emy car for instance, the control unit speaks to a AirCon ECU, which only then commands the compressor... the protocol for airconecu->control unit comm is of course proprietary... but emulating a button press on the control unit is very much simple...

correct me if I'm worng Dancehaven, but this is how I think your gonna do it right?

SPOT ON

To a certain extent

To be totally hohnest based on what research we have already conducted

theres not that much to it!

Its a case of measureing and monitoring temp sensors and controlling various

outputs and motors based on the temp readings.

Theres no reason what you couldnt replace the entire system with this unit

what I'm saying is that you wont need to interface to complex things like vacuum hoses, etc...

Essentially yes

If people need to be able to drive a motor directly or fit a servo to control a

mechanical slider then the module will also allow this
