Cool program!
I do have a couple of suggestions for your consideration.
1) In addition to setting the record new file after a specified size is reached, be able to set the amount of time in minutes that owu want each clip to run.
2) Superimpose live date and time, and have it recorded into the video on the bottom edge or one of the corners of the video window.

Hi sebberry!
1) Thought about that myself. Will add it...
2) I really want that too! But i think the DirectX Capture Class i use is not able to superimpose something :-( . I think i have to switch to DirectShotNet ( http://directshownet.sourceforge.net)
On the German forum we are talking about how to show the GPS speed on a corner of the Video. That would be cool 8-)

@sebberry: 1) done.
@All: New Version: Capture!.zip
StopAfterSeconds=1800
### sets the time limit in seconds for each .avi file. 0 for no limit.
Stop occures whatever comes first, the MB- or time-limit.

Sweet! While you're at it do you think you could quickly whip up a version that superimposes 3D navi maps over top of the video window?
J/K, but I think this is a great little tool for recording

Huh? WHat secret? Here's the command that loads the program.
Quote:
"WEB_CAM","LOAD;web_cam.skin;RUN;C:\Program Files\Road Runner\CFX_Tools\Capture!\Capture!.exe;Capture!;"
Then it web_cam.skin, just make sure you define an A region as follow.
Quote:
/, A, x, y, w, h, color;RGB
A01,141,90,649,420,42,98,147

Hi DarkSlice!
I sometimes get this kind of error if any device or configured in the ini is not accessable. try setting them all to "0" or download the "CauptureTest.zip" i posted here some pages ago. There you can see all the capture devices and audio devices and set them correctly in the config.ini.
greetz!

hi, i use tv card and composite input. Prob is that i must everytime(after each windows start-up) change videostandart from NTSC_M to PAL_D. I know it is not capture! thing, but do you know howto? in control panel is nothing about the capture device. only one way is use capture or webcamxp pro(another app for cameras)
thanks
btw: i have upgraded pc to 479socket aopen board and celeron M1.6ghz and capture run verry cool! 10-20% cpu usage while recording with compression (1minute = +-4MB in super quality)!!

by the way i use this setup and with the "quick compress" enable, it run verry fast. About 15% cpu usage!!. Without "quick compress" is cpu load about 80-100%!! i dont get it but this is awesome.
btw try app called mobiola web camera - i have tested with N70 and its really COOL too! you can go around car and capturing by Capture! from the phone-camerra by bluetooth!

Hi mashina!
Haha thanks for the tip on "mobiola web camera" nice!
Hmm the video properties page calls a form wich is delivered by the video/capture device driver. I have no access to settings made on this form
You could try finding the registry key (if there is one) where the capture driver stores its information and edit the default values to what you want.
Indeo 5 with quick compress is very fast! but this codec is also very old. I used xvid and divx 5.0 which run good on my via 1ghz system. The newest divx shows a dialog box while recording which is anonying.
e39dream: I like my 8 with the rear wheel drive This car is a bit of a diva.

AWD, RWD, 4x4, in that order of driving preference. FWD is great in the snow, and I like my mom and sister have FWD- keeps em safe. I had looked at a super bright red rx-8 with the touring? package- it was an AMAZING car but too much $ right now. THe only thing I did not like was the round radio - yuck. I forget what the mazda upgrade package was called as I've looked at alot of cars in the last couple months. I do know that I don't buy cars that aren't optioned out and thats why no rx8 for me. The base andd upgraded ones vary buy a ton. Ended up with the bimmer- can't complain
