Are you using DivX 5.2 because of the popup info-window when capturing with divx 6.2? Thats why I use the old DivX...
Hi,
Is it possible to add one settable second keyshortcut in the sw for the new function of save recorder files?
If yes,I add one other button in my RR skin for embed this with second hotkey assigned and hide original buttons....good development of Capture this!
And:
What webcam and IR led for night vision recommends me to buy for making the tests, eventually with Ebay Italy...
Thanks
Mauri

actually I am using divx 5.2 as others here have had success with it- have not and probably will not try the newer release- as I recall these divx installs often come with spyware- maulware, etc so I'm sticking with what I have, I have not noticed anything adverse after installing and using the 5.2 codec. It has been raining for 4 days straight here, once I get a nice sunny day I'll make a vid and post a link.

What Camera do you use?
What type of cameras do people use?
Are the CMOS cameras good enough for car journey capturing?
Your thoughts are appriciated any any link to camera suppliers.

heres a link to a vid I made. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/D...4CCB772566.htm
The compression of the streetfire website is ****ty but you get the idea anyway. I found if you click the "switch to windows media player" button the playback is more realistic. If anyone wants to host a bigger film withthe correct compression for me holler.

Nice! I like this kind of videos. :-)
How did you speed them up? Post-processing in VirtualDub?

I used virtualdubmod, which is freeware based of vdub. It sped the video up after compression- I did not really want it to, but I won't be posting much on the internet. Never underestimate a celeron! lol

when I went out yesterday it was really sunny- and I had to wait till dusk to use my cam. I need to figure out a good camera for full light use. I have a canon powershot a75 that is partially broken(only will zoom via usb), and have used a software called psremote to control it via pc/usb- I wonder if I could somehow stream the vid to captue! because the canon is much better suited to full light than a webcam....

Any of you guys have use a card with hardware encoding? Like all those PVR cards? They encode the video in mpeg live. So no CPU usage. But I have no idea if works with capture!.

Capture! only works with WDM capture devices. So all devices that have a windows driver model driver and register itself as a directx capture device can be used with Capture!.
I don't think that this is true for the canon (I hade one once too).
The PVR cards, I think, will be available in Capture!, but not with the hardware-compression if you use a codec like divx or indeo. Maybee the PVR card has its own video compression codec which will use the hardware compression.

yeah, this app can run as a total interface-less window. You can have your RR buttons do all the hotkeyed actions. That's what I did.

Wouldnt it be a cool idea to overlay current speed in the frames?
