OS, startup methods, hibernate options.
Ok,
I've got a few questions here.
If I were to run a sysem off linux is there programs I could buy/download to manage quick stops, hibernation, my alarm system, a turn-off timer (If I'm out of the car longer than I thought), startups from a remote, blah zay blah. WINE is coming out soon so if there is a windows program(s) that does this I would also like to know. I'll be going to fry's today to get a cable for my lcd but i am not familiar with the connection. It used to be an lcd to a car dvd player and it only has one connection which is vga connector and power in one. Any idea wtf it is? Also, I have an old car (1971 Pontiac Lemans), and it doesnt keep the weather out of the car as well as a 2005. So on top of silicone spray and silica gel packs, what could i do to further weather proof the case and keep the compenents safe? I was thinking a solar powered fan to keep it dry when it has power because I am mostly worried about cold mornings in california with all the condensation everywhere. Anyway. JOHNNY FIVE...
