accuracy of routing

routing dosent seem so accurate as regards where i am and positioning, seems to go a bit adrift sometimes which can make tricky driving whilst trying to look and decipher the map, using mm and d3, used to have a tomtom which seemed to be very good accurate and always on-the-ball.

is it mm or destinator i need to be looking at, or is what i've got as good as it gets for time being.

Cheers

Andy

first of all you should be posting either in gps or mm forum, not general software forum...

the problem is probably with d3, but you can try freedrive to see if it improves (unlikely since it also uses d3)...

another problem might be your gps reciever, some are more accurate than others, but all afaik are 1 update per second. (which shouldnt be much problem unless you are driving very fast, in which case you arent likely to be truning alot)...

Another option would be a more accurate reciever such as the ublox some of us are using. it uses a gps+speed sensor(form vehicle)+gyroscope to tell how fast/far you are going. but this is a pretty expensive solution (about 300$)
