I use it at home for a media center, and I love it.
It works great for what it was intended to do, but I'll stick with RoadRunner in my truck.

i use[d] mce 2005, i didnt have need for gps so it was fine
the music organization gets on my nerves sometimes. although i really want GPS now, so if the plugin works awesome, otherwise i'll set a gps program to run full screen from the 'other programs' option, or give in and use a front end.
Also, its designed for a large display like a tv (i had a htpc hooked up to a 52" at one point)s= so the buttons are really small unless you go REALLY low res.

because it sucks

J/K. I too thought of using it for a second, but after messing around with it on my friends desktop PC I couldn't see using it on a Car PC.

My car PC aint powerful enough to run an XP clone. MC2K5 is also very fussy about hardware...
