Like a lot of you out there, I'm very desperate to get my hands on software that has the features of PhoneControl.net but with the ability to actually work with Samsung Phones.
I own a Samsung SGH-E760
Great phone, bluetooth and all, however, the only device I found that works really well with it is the Parrot CK series (don't own one, but tested before).
I have yet to find any software that does work. I've been on the PhoneControl.net forums, but it seems that Samsung does something weird with the AT-Command set, so it will to work proper with PhoneControl.net. I have gotton PhoneControl.net to recognize my phone, and am able to dial out manually, and after converting my phonebook was able to dial out through the phonebook (what a hassle!). I really like PhoneControl.net, and it works for a lot of people, but for us Samsung users, it just does not suffice. If there are any samsung users out there that have got this to work, please let me know what you did.
My question is this; why does the parrot work so well with almost every type of phone? I went online, and it uses HFP/OPP (object push?) profiles on the site (for my phone specifically) to communicate with the phone. Why can this not be implemented into a software application that even mimics the parrot functionallity?
Parrot
Does anyone out there have suggestions, because I know a lot of us use Samsung phones (they're fantastic) and are very disgruntled because we can't use PhoneControl.net without a lot of tinkering around.
A lot of us out there would benefit from such software. If there is even a commercial option out there, I would be happy to pay. It would be worth it, even after spending the past few weeks fruitlessly attempting to get PhoneControl.net to work with my phone.
