New Concept...What Do You Think?
Ok, I have been thinking about this concept for several years now. I have seen a couple of similar things to this, but nothing as functional... Here is my concept and I would like everyones honest opinions, Flame or not.
I first have to say that I hate driving in Michigan where I reside because not a single person knows how to drive worth a crap! If their not tailgating their driving 15 mph below the speed limit or 20 over! So here is what I suggest. This would require a dual screen setup using windows xp extended desktop over 2 monitors. One monitor would be the controlling part for the driver and the 2nd monitor would be mounted in the rear of the vehicle so that it is in plain view of other drivers. It would have several different buttons that the driver could press to send messages to other drivers. So lets say someone is following too closely for your comfort on the freeway and your driving safely at 75 to 80 in a 70mph zone so you shouldnt have to move over, you could press one of the buttons and display a message to the rear so that the tailgating driver can see it. It might be something like this...
I dont know, maybe this type of thing would reduce road rage or something...

I have thought of simmilar things.
Another thread some time ago suggested using one of those scrolling message marques, the ones with an array of small read lights that are programmable for messages.
Some officer might have a problem with it... some jackass might shoot you.
Some dick might run into your car and say the sigh distracted him...
All in all consider the risk vs reward.

Could we setup a catapault with flaming bags of poo? Just launch one at anyone who annoys you!! 
I have wished for this kind of thing before but I have to agree with TruckinMP3 sounds like it would get you into trouble with the wrong person.

Im thinking that it would be no different than bumper stickers. You know like "This vehicle insured by smith and wesson", or "Keep honking, Im reloading", etc.

would be cool if you could rig it to the little depth things on some cars (like on lexus tells you how close you are to something when pulling into garage or something) so that is a person gets within too close it would automatically blink with like yellow and red to get their attention so they know they are too close or something...

Not quite. Most bumper stickers I read are not directed to me (or I hope not). But if I, all of a sudden, see a personalized message obviously targeting me then I will respond differently. Probably by ramming his car into an oncoming gas truck.

Oh my life would be complete with a setup like this Red. I've considered a scrolling sign, and even making some big *** hand-written signs to keep in the car.
Not all messages would be for retaliation purposes
Messages I would like:
Bright lights on
Headlight burned out
Breaklight out
Turn signal on
Thank you (for those that let you in traffic)
Slow down
Cop ahead
Construction
etc...

I would load mine up with pick-up lines for the hot girls that pull up next to me.
I've always wanted to use the scrolling marquee signs, but I'm 99% sure that there's a law against using non-factory-installed signs or internal lighting viewable from the exterior.

People wouldn't do this cause it's appears on a screen. Imagine there are more than two drivers with same installation. It may cause temper. But if you really want to do something like this, i suggest you dub pimpstar rims which can even play a porn on your wheels.

this goes along with an idea that i had a while ago driving. i get really ****ed off at the stupid people that drive around here and the horn isnt a decent enough representation for that hatred. i was going to install a megaphone type thing that would sound off gunshots at the other driver. now that will get them moving alot faster than a weak *** honk

You can run a CB/PA to your horn. That is fun and it sounds cool too.
