The 0.05 Version log the error in loading the skin. So you could check for the audio_browser.skin loading in your car.

okay, copied over the new version. there were no errors the first time I tried loading it but I was still having the loading issue. I then changed the permissions for my EniCar folder and files and now it works, but it still takes forever... the whole audio interface seems to be slow and laggy...

GPS works great though! the volume controls are also working good

I have to check if there is no bug. because there is no reason to be laggy. I only draw 8 or 9 line of text. unless there is a huge bug. This screen should be fast.
In two month as my car will go to sleep for 5 month during the winter ( :cry: ) i will put my carputer in my house so i could make all my test on a slow computer. Until that i have to check the possible problem with the audio browser. Did you have the same problem with the video browser (as it's the same code, we could say if it's a code problem or a data problem (file list) ).

the video browser was actually showing the same symptoms.. never really play videos as I have a via 800mhz processor so it doesnt normally play smooth, but ya, same problems as in the audio browser... here is my log

So it's a code problem. Did you have the same problem in the playlist ? If not, try to rename the folder.gif _folder.gif and media.gif in _media.gif in the mc2.0 skin folder. i suspect the constant resizing of those big picture to draw them small.

Out of curiosity: seeing all the massive development (thanks man) built on top of stable kernel (yes I mean mplayer) I wonder what are the next development plans?
I already noticed Destinator SDK support comming out after iG...
Actually I wonder whether Enicar will/does support RR plugins (new great phone plugin mainly). I also wonder (knowing mplayer can handle TV viewing - at least under Linux) if the feature is available for Win and will be utilised? Will Enicar support TV cards nativelly through mplayer?
Yet talking about phone plugin - its author RRMobile announced he will release source code eventually - will this be moment when BT cellphone support will be made part of enicar itself?
One more thing - beeing poor and bad Delphi coder myself - can I help with development?

The next dev, in no order.

For my own use :
Support more than one indicator (i only support mute for instant lol. but all the loading is done).
Support for gps data (as soon as my gps receiver cooperate).
Cache for file list.
Lightning speed skin loading.
Automatic rear camera switch.
Support for Mutiple Camera with on the fly record.
HQCT FM Radio support.
EDIT : almost forgot. Modify MPlayer, to avoid song skip problem, to keep the volume between two song, to calculate the FFT and send it to EniCar for visualization.
Later : ODB2 support.

For the others :
IE/Firefox integration.
IG2.x integration (for the instant i've only tested the V3.0)
Other GPS software integration.
Compatibility with all RR skins (today i know that MC2.0 & Bongo are working pretty well, must do a pass with all skins to resolve each skin problem).
Weather page.
Skin change page.
Blocking Video if car moves (value in .ini)

That's my short term plan. For the rest it will come after request.

My main goal was to replace my FE in my car. Don't know if people are really interested in my project, so i don't know if the other development is needed.
Many people helped me in debugging some stuff, that's great, that's why i'm offering my support when i can. Let see how it goes.

For the rest i'm open to suggestion. If people express real interest for one functionnality, let's do it.

that worked for me, everything is now blazing fast... just took RR out of the startup menu and added EniCar

i believe you need to be using the cmdline version of mplayer, is that the version you have? if not I would try using the version he included in v0.01

That solved the problem - mplayer needed to be in the same dir as EniCar

Works pretty good! Only issue I see is that the GPS buttons in the skin (Dest, Menu, Zoom +/-, 2d/3d, etc) Don't do anything...

Same here, i haven't tried the gps or anything but loading this thing takes around 75megs+ (task manager) of memory and takes about a few seconds to load.
This is on a 3200 amd 64 and 512mb and 120gig 7.2k hd. Any thoughts? Road runner still is faster unless i'm doing something wrong, But your buttons are much faster.

The MC2.0 Skin i deliver with the initial version have the RR skin button (with IGKey), i previously post modification to make to the external_gps.skin to use the IG specific command for EniCar. Page 6.

For the instant the version is a little slower than RR to load due to the fact i load the entire skin in memory instead of RR that only load a few screen in memory. Later the skin loading will be faster, much much faster. For the instant the memory will remain the same. I have no plan now for this. The memory will remain the same in all the use of EniCar. Not a problem for now i think. In Resume : the global reaction of EniCar is faster than RR (sorry Guino) but the initial loading is a little slower as i load 10 times more information than RR.

A big yes from me, and many others I'm sure!
mplayer is such a great building block and with the fast speed of enicar i'm sure it will be of use to lots of carPc users - can never have enough choice for software!
