For people waiting for an update for enicar, sorry for the long wait but the racing season end soon, so i will have nothing to do else than code while watching snow falling outside.

for once I might be happy to see snow fall

Will Mplayer work with KX sound card driver?

Here is the site for KX project.

http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/index.php?language=en

I've read all 13 pages of this thread and I'm up to speed now.

Would you be willing to release the source code too?

I don't see any reason why it should not. As it's a driver it should remain transparent for the user (application).

I can't test it as i don't have a Creative sound card.

Cool, I'm into (legal) drag racing too, but put the car away for the winter. I have 4.6l, and twin turbos, putting out over 700hp , but it's an Eagle Talon AWD.

Lol, it's Illinois, I usually go to Route 66 in Joliet IL. Usually IHRA or import events. If you are interested, type in "twin engine" in google video, it's one of the video's that come up. I have not heard of the name Naperville used anywhere else. Dell didn't get my return address right for my laptop, and wrote Napa Valley IL!

Nice looking stang there! And looks like some nice work going into your FE. What all do you have done to your mustang? I got an 04, but I'm not running quite as fast as you

Vineet, where did you get a 4.6L engine from for a DSM? I've never seen someone stray AWAY from the 4g63.

Thanks. New Time 12.90 . This week end is the last race week end, my car go to sleep for 5 month next thursday . I only have a CAI, UDP, XCal 2, 4.10 gear. Regular street tire, and it's an auto. Works pretty well.

I will start to work again on my FE next week end.

Wow I don't know how I missed this thread! enitalp you are the MAN! This is completely awesome! I have been wondering why someone did not consider mplayer as a backend long ago, its the fastest most stable player i've ever used. (I am a linux user, so Ive been using mplayer for years) Plus it plays anything you throw at it.

Enicar is fast as hell, stable from what ive seen so far, and much more responsive than RR. 50megs of RAM is more than acceptable for a frontend this fast to be taking up. When running im at 60 megs and 0-2% cpu use. I would rather have the frontend use RAM than CPU cycles anyday. I am a dedicated RR user but agree the menus are laggy and its kinda clunky. Your code and mplayer seem like a much faster solution and your program directory is so simple compared to RR. I always wondered why RR has the winamp GUI open while its running. It makes so much more sense just to use the core files of the player. Keep it simple and fast. I will test with IG3 tomorrow when I'm done working my double shift. If all goes well I will have it in the stang (on a via m10000) by first of the week for testing.

Damn this frontend has an unbelievable amount of potential to become the next big player in the group. I would ask an admin for a thread in the 'frontends' section. If your code is this fast/stable/low resource, open source AND it runs RR skins native you might as well expect to takeover the frontend market. I'm serious.

Keep up the excellent coding enitalp

This gets even better, at work i only got to version .02, just realized tonight it goes up to .05 (oh yeah update in order for best results!)

Anyway I got .05 running good. iGuidance is working stable. Used your EXTERNAL_GPS code and the skin buttons work good. Im using Liquid_Smokes IG3 patch and it works good. Takes out the menu buttons and zoom buttons covering the map. It aslo has a nice user interface compared to the 'fisher price' feeling on the standard IG3

My only noticle bug i see so far is the playlist does not remember anything after i shutdown the enicar process. When i re-launch the prog the playlist is empty and I have to reload stuff. My other is the volume is a bit slow changing for my likes. Little faster would not hurt. Is there any workaround for these issues?

BTW the standard RR skin BWV2 runs good on enicar. CFX does *not* run at all. I think there may be too many menus in CFX. Anyway Im just testing a few more RR skins to see what enicar will tolarate.

Thx.

There is no resume yet. I didn't save anything when quitting.

There is no volume setup, i plan to add something for that in the ini file.

For skin compatibility i've made test on only a few of them, many stuff are still missing so some skin may not work at all. And some may work fine.

It's a really early version that's why i named it v0.05.

Looks like your putting that good old american muscle to use in that nice looking stang, I know I am !

Wow...12.9? Damn Arizona heat! I have long tubes all the way down with catted x-pipe, 75mm TB/plenum and a K&N FIPK2..dynoed around 255 whp. But damn, I couldn't touch those times down here. I'm a 5 spd too. Got a couple friends with the 3 valves that both dynoed around 300 whp and theyre getting deep into the 13's with 5 spds as well. 12.9 is a great time with an auto and those mods IMO. I really need a 3 valve...or a supercharged DOHC
