So this puzzled me why I drove around with my IG3 working in ENICAR and my gps receiver on and all worked. I went out again to my car just now and sure enough IG3 crashed at the start of ENICAR but ENICAR continued to load. Normally I load IG3 at start before my skin so when I go to nav the screen doesnt flash; so yesterday during testing, after everything booted, I closed my RR and launched ENICAR and it worked. This morning I tested this theory, after I found IG3 crashed from the launching of ENICAR... Iclosed ENICAR... launched IG3... then again launched ENICAR and it worked. I drove around the block and it tracked great.

Yeah this is surely because of my way of launching IG. you can see that IG is hidden while loading, perhaps it does something that make it crash when it's totaly hidden. I have to check that.
To bad because i was very proud of my IG loading at start without seen it.

Yes, the way it currently loads is the bomb! You are definetly on the right track. It does seem to be related to having an actual connection to a receiver if that helps narrow down the problem. Also, the fact it crashes as soon as you set a destination.

I'm still searching for a solution to the IG crash. I don't find why. tried 100 solutions got 100 crash. So stupid.

PS you could try with the menu bar still on. Seems to not crash with. change your ini file. Or perhaps its because of my very bad reception in my home, who knows.

It will crash everytime regardless. The only way is to disable the GPS. IGuidance crash right before ENICAR LOADS up. Try the com ports. Could be a problem with it trying to pick up the sat signals and then it crash. Beside that the programs is great. just need a little more work. If anyone can make there work like Nero Home that would be nice also. I think streetdeck is base on that

when you launch IG3 and make sure it is running properly, then launch ENICAR you will get a com port error, but it runs ok after responding OK.

are you trying to set the com port during launch?

No i did nothing with com port.
And i tried to put a delay at startup to make sure it's fully launched and i get the same result. I also tried to launch it later, when clicking on nav button, same result.
tried to not remove the toolbar, menu, etc.. same result.
etc....

Hello brave one, following to this topic I would probably say most of Europeans use different D3 front-ends (FreeDrive, MapMonkey, Meedio D3 plugin) since Destinator maps are probably most complete at the moment and there is (buggy but still documented) SDK available. Since Freedrive went "open source" too and its author is one of the most helpful and community sharuing guy in this forum, I believe most europeans would appreciate if you could (with help of Cdrskull probalbly) release a version of EinCar that would be built on top of D3 SDK directly.
Would dou you say?
Pretty please...

Video playback has a problem sometimes it just doesn't want to stay in its own screen layout. You have to hit another screen and click back for it to display correctly

Today's Work

- Totaly rewrite the sound control code. Way much cleaner.
- Indicator Mute Done
- Fix a bug in bitmap display sometimes transparent.
- Label STATUS done
- Flash Label Transmission Done.
- Done some change in IG integration to be much safe.
- Album Art Label Done (mp3 & video, find the first jpeg in the media dir, if more than one jpg is found try to give the one with 'front' in the name)

If you have some idea to improve album art, say it. If you use a skin tell me so i could work more on compatibility with new skin.

Yeah it's EniCar and not RR, hard to tell the difference.
